Hey Parents of NEW 5th Graders!

Hello parents of incoming 5th graders,

Welcome to Club 56 - Edinbrook Church’s ministry to 5th and 6th grade students. My name is Christopher Page and my wife Stephanie and I have been heading up Club 56 for 2 years now. We love working with this age group and are really looking forward to getting to know you and your incoming 5th grader better as we welcome them to our program this fall.

We would like to give you a brief overview of what your 5th grader can expect in Club 56. First of all, our meeting times and places. We meet every Sunday morning during first service in the Club 56 room (downstairs in the children’s ministry area). Our time is spent looking at topics that 5th and 6th graders are dealing with and digging into the Bible to see what God has to say about these issues. We start our time together with a large group lesson, and then have smaller group discussion based on a few Bible passages related to our topic of the day.
We also have a Club 56 meeting every second Saturday night. The first Saturday meeting of each month will be a big event and the times will vary. Our second meeting of the month will be at church from 6:30 - 8:30pm in the Club 56 room.

During the week, your Club 56er will have some homework to do that will gain points for him/her and help in a team competition as well. Homework consists of reading different Bible passages and answering questions. At the end of each quarter, the team with the most points will receive a reward. Points will be given for homework, memory verses, attending Sunday mornings, bringing a bible, bringing friends, and bringing offering. The goal of the homework and the points competition is to get Club 56ers digging into the Bible on their own during the week.

We will be having our kick off for the fall/welcome to incoming 5th graders on Saturday, September 11 cost and time are still TBD, so stay tuned!! We will meet at Brunswick Zone in Brooklyn Park for an evening of bowling. Drop off and pick up will be from the bowling alley. Sunday, September 12 will be our first Sunday class of the fall.
